1991 Cadex 890i

Born as a hybrid, this bike screamed to be made over into a road machine.  The bonded carbon fiber tubing had a sort of snap to it that made it perfect for a long-haul road machine.  It's not the lightest or the fastest but it's another ultra-dialed in rig.  Now it has taken the next step into being a cross/commuter machine with a Topeak cargo rack and a Profile "Stoker" bar up front.  After replacing the Cadex as the primary road bike with a Raleigh 600 I had to decide to sell the bike or turn it into something else.  The very wide Profile bar is very stable and comfortable and took the shifters without re-cabling again.
