One of the founding members of the Freedom Leaders, Gary lost his natural arms and legs when his ship was forced down on a frozen planet. The Torellians replaced his limbs with bionics to force him to compete in gladiatorial games. Later, more powerful and more realistic bionics were constructed for him.
