1984 Schwinn High Sierra

The original (well, technically that's not so) project bike of the fleet (there was some odd white bike that preceded this but it only ran a few days.) It has now been rebuilt 4 times, starting with the original build-up after finding the thing in the basement of Spokes & Pedals around 1997.  The tires had about turned to dust and it didn't look like much.  I basically yanked all the 15 speed Suntour stuff (junk today but it was the first commonly available mountain bike drivetrain) and set it up with a hodge-podge 18 speed setup.  It eventually gained enough quality parts until I got a Specialized Ground Control - and all the goodies went to it.  So, I started over again.  By the time it was a fine machine once again I got my hands on a Gary Fisher Big Sur.  Rebuild #3 was upon us.

September 2005 I got another Specialized Rockhopper Comp FS frame and I did it again.  This time I used some old chainrings that once graced my Cadex.
