This was one of those golden opportunities. I won a frame on eBay for a ridiculously low price. I was hoping that the front shock brace would be in good shape but I found the whole frame was in pretty good shape. Not as good as my primary mountain bike, but still good. I took the parts collected on my Schwinn High Sierra and built it up (that bike has now been rebuilt for the 4th time!) It is exactly the same frame as my other Rockhopper Comp FS and now has some of the parts the other bike once used (the A1 stem, the Avenir wheelset) and now takes its place as a commuter/cargo bike. |
